With a relatively small investment of less than $50,000 you can develop a quarter pusher route that provides you with a good retirement income month after month and for years to come. Many people are already doing it and you can, too. Here is how.
Quarter pushers cost about $1300 each for the best quality machines. It is important that you only buy high quality new machines so that you do not experience outages or repairs. If you purchase thirty machines they will cost you about $40,000 with shipping. You will also need coin counters and equipment for counting and bagging the coins for deposit, which will cost you about another $1,000. Industry averages show that a quarter pusher machine will generate about $200 a week in profits, with some operators even earning as much as $1,000 a week in a good location. To be conservative I will estimate on the low side and say that your thirty machines will average $100 a week which will be split 50/50 with the location owner. This will leave you with a net profit of $50 a week per machine, so multiplied by your 30 machines, this will give you $1,500 per week or $78,000 a year. Remember that this is a “low end” estimate, so you could easily do much better than that.
Finding locations for your thirty machines is not as difficult as you might think. All a shop owner needs is about 10 square feet of empty space in which to place the quarter pusher, which can then lead to earning a cash profit every week with no investment. The best locations are laundromats, convenience stores, truck stops, diners, liquor stores, tobacco shops, pizza shops or any other places where people gather. You simply offer to install a machine on a trial basis with no obligation and once the profits start rolling in, the location owner will be happy to let the machine stay. There are professional locator services available to secure locations for you (for a fee) if you are not comfortable finding them yourself.
Once the machines are placed, all you need to do is visit each location weekly and split the quarters in the machine’s catch bucket with the location owner. The catch bucket is a large plastic tub in the bottom of the machine that catches your profits as they drop from the movable tray. Thirty machines is a manageable route and collections will take about 2 days a week, depending on the size of the geographic area. It is a great retirement income for a small investment in time and money. Check out our Coin Pusher Machines
Have you ever considered placing a coin pusher machine in your business? They are good reasons to consider them. They are good profit generators that require very little floor space. If you operate a convenience store, Laundromat, tavern, liquor store, restaurant, truck stop or any other business where there is good foot traffic then you are a potential location. You could possibly pay your monthly rent or mortgage with one or two of these machines.
Here are some factors to consider:
• The machines need to be in a secure location where they can be seen by store personnel. This is to prevent tampering or cheating such as shaking the machine. Almost all machines sold have an audible alarm and a trap door to prevent coins from being shaken out but for the alarm to be effective there needs to be an employee present to hear it.
• They need to be legal to operate in your location. Some areas are fine but some have restrictions. You can check with local authorities to find out what, if any, restrictions exist in your area. The most common restriction is that you may not be able to play real coins or pay out real coins. In that case you would be able to use tokens instead of coins. You can exchange the winner’s tokens for trade or small gifts instead of cash. You could also load up the playing field with “bait” such as gift cards, watches or MP3 players.
• The machines need a floor space of about three feet wide and two feet deep. The location should be visible to store personnel and also easily seen by potential customers.
• Change or token availability should be easy and convenient. You should have a change machine or token dispenser mounted in the machine or on the wall near the machine. If the player runs out of coins you want it to be convenient for them to get more coins and continue playing.
• To buy or not to buy? You can buy your machine or if you do not want to make a big cash investment you can have an operator install your machine for free in exchange for a share of the profits. Typically the profit is split 50/50 between the location owner and the operator. To find a local operator just check with vending companies in your area.
If you decide to buy a machine you should avoid used machines. Buy a new machine from a reputable dealer with at least a one year warranty. You can find a dealer through the internet by using a search engine such as Google. Expect to pay between $1200 and $2000 depending on features, options and the quality of the machine. These machines provide a great return for a small investment of money and floor space. In today’s economy you need all the help you can get. Check out our Coin Pushers

When buying antiques it is easy to make a bad investment if you are not an expert. This is especially true when buying an antique slot machine. It is easy to get caught up in the moment at a yard sale, an auction or an antique shop. You see an old slot machine and you just have to have it for your “man cave”. If you are not careful you will be buying a major headache. Here are some tips that you must follow if you want to protect your hard-earned money
First, if at all possible, consult an expert and educate yourself. There are several good and reputable sites on the internet that sell antique slot machines. These sites have videos that will show you what to look for when buying a machine. They will also tell you exactly what to avoid.
Second, decide between a genuine antique or a re-manufactured machine. A re-manufactured machine might be best for you if you are buying a machine that you want to actually play and not have as just a showpiece or investment machine. A “re-manufactured” machine is a machine that looks like a brand new machine. In most cases the outside castings and the wood are all brand-new. The mechanical parts of the machine are from an original machine but have been completely re-worked. The advantage of these machines is that they look beautiful and they are able to be played daily where a real antique machine would be too fragile to be played too much. The disadvantage is that the re-manufactured machines will not appreciate in value like an antique machine. In many cases a re-manufatured machine is a much better choice for you.
Third, be careful where you buy or from whom you buy. Avoid buying at a yard sale or flea market. This is where the real junk normally ends up. An estate sale can produce some great machines if the original owner was a collector. Machines purchased at auctions can also be fraught with problems, unless you can get an expert opinion on the machine before bidding. If you want to buy from eBay you will need to check the feedback of the seller and also only buy from a seller that accepts PayPal. This will protect you in case the item is not as described. If a seller does not accept PayPal, steer clear of him. There are also some very reputable websites that sell antique slots. These are larger dealers who can be found on Google. Always deal with a site that takes credit cards, pay with a credit card (not a debit card) and you will be protected.
Fourth, do not over-pay . Research prices online. Look at eBay and see what similar machines have sold for. You can easily search prior sales on eBay . Also search the web for the machine you are interested in. You will probably find several sites selling similar machines. Be aware that condition is everything. Unrestored antique machines in original condition are worth more than restored ones.
If you follow these steps you will be able to acquire the machine you want at a fair price and avoid being disappointed. Click antique slot machines to see our selection of antique slots

After three long years of delay…the new $100 bill is finally going to arrive this Fall . All the printing issues have finally been resolved and the new bill is really quite attractive. Is your business ready for this ? Are your cash counting machines going to accept the new $100 bills ? At our Bill Counter page we can help you prepare for the arrival of the new money. You will need to know what to look for as far as counterfeit detection on the new bills. You will need to make sure all your currency counting machines will not reject the new 100. You might have automatic bill acceptors on vending machines that need to be upgraded to accept the bills. Be prepared. Visit the US Treasury web site and get the information you need to start training your cashier’s on the new bills as soon as possible.
Do not worry if you have the old bills and think they will become obsolete. They will not. The older 100 dollar bills will be around for about another 20 years. The bills will be retired over time and shredded by the Federal Reserve Bank. If anything, they will be more valuable some day due to the scarcity of finding them. United States currency is never obsolete and will be honored forever. I am sure that the old 100 dollar bills will be collector items someday.
Notify your bank that you want to get new 100 bill samples as soon as they are available. Make sure all your cashiers see and handle the new money and are familiar with it before they start accepting it. Do not rely on counterfeit marker pens to detect fakes. These pens are easily fooled by certain chemicals that the counterfeiter’s spray on the bills, even hairspray will defeat the pens. The best bet is an automatic detector. If you do accept a fake bill then you will be stuck with it. To try to deposit a fake bill or pass it along is a crime. Your bank will turn any fake bills over to the authorities.
Some rumors about the new bills have begun to circulate. One of the better rumors is that there is allot of gold coloring in the new bills and this is to make people feel it is more valuable because many people feel that US currency is losing it’s value. Others say the gold coloring is done to appeal to the Chinese who hold so much of our money overseas.
So the bottom line is that you need to prepare for the new money. The new money will show up in the casinos first, then they will begin general circulation. Many people will oppose the new money and resist accepting it. Older bills will be retired as they are deposited. The FED had to re-design these bills to make them more secure and harder to counterfeit. They have several new security features that will be hard to replicate. Know what these features are and what to look for. Educate yourself and your employees.
