Now let's look at diagram #2. It is a very generic diagram and the location of some of the items listed will vary and also how different brands accomplish the different tasks will also vary. The important Items have been marked with a after-marked paint.

OK, now let's set the game up for 'play". First plug the game into the wall outlet (110v). Next, fill the reward hopper located at the top of the game in the back, (see diagram 12). Careful. Make sure the hopper release is closed !! Easiest way to be sure is to place the ball box in the ball tray and only put a handfull of balls In the reward hopper. If they stop in the payout mechanism; OK. Otherwise will fall all the way through to the ball box. Most of the hopper releases are a press once, they are close and ; press again they are open .

Put at least 300 balls in. With the ball box in place we are done In the back.. . ow

we are in. the front of the machine. Put some balls in the ball shooter tray (see diagram #1) How many depends on you. The machine will fire a ball onto the playing field at about at a rate of about one every second. To shoot a ball into the playing field grab the handle with your whole hand. Most machines use the contact of the skin to complete the shooting circuit and the sensitivity adjustment is in the back. Turn the dial clockwise. How far you turn it determines how far it shoots into the playing field. After: turning the dial, notice on the ball handle a a

little tab will poke out, (on some models this is a separate button located very near the handle) a

this is the pause button. Once one has determined how much to turn to go you can use this button to pause the automatic shooting into a one-at-a time shooting mode. Remember, the object of the game is to drop the balls into the center pocket.

These are the basics of playing the game. On every Pachinko game there is the big gate. The trick is to learn how to open the big gate. Most of the games are of the center shot variety. This means that to open the big gate one needs to land a ball in the center hole, (usually labled with a START tag and on some models there is more than one hole which will do the same thing) This will start the reels to spin. The Pachinko makers have combined the Pachinko game with a slot machine. If one ends up with three matching symbols, one goes into the BONUS Mode-

BONUS MODE

In the Bonus Mode there are 12 to 16 levels. At each level, the big gate will open and give one the opportunity to capture 10 balls. Then the gale will close and re-open to start the next level. One-will notice It is fairly easy to land a ball in the big gate and get many reward balls. Each ball is usually worth 15 reward balls. This means that the reward is 10x15=150 and at 16 levels 16x150=2400 balls total.
